Project Description
A.Brunton Waste operated a busy office environment which had no managed print solution in place. Located in East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and surrounding areas they have been the region's number 1 waste management and skip hire company for over 60 years.
The first part of the project involved understanding the work produced to ensure the correct hardware equipment was offered and within budget.
The second part of the project was to understand the life of a document within the business to see if a more efficient processing solution was available to help speed up labour intensive daily tasks.
The Challenge/Objectives
- To implement our solutions, we needed to understand the life of a document within the business and time was spent to fully analyse the current processes.
- Almost 10 hours per week were spent manually filing and renaming weighbridge tickets that came into the business. The client wanted a solution to streamline this process as well as ensuring compliance and audit.
- Any solution needed to integrate into the current office environment which included various software packages namely Spindle.
The Solution and Key Achievements
- We implemented Convert and Share software which saved the client almost 10 hours per week. Whereas Weighbridge tickets were scanned and then renamed and placed in a folder, our software was able to automate this process.
- By using the OCR capabilities, we set up a document workflow that read the scanned weighbridge ticket, located the relevant reference which was used to rename the document and then create a new folder. All this process was completed with the only user task being the scanning of the documents.
- The hardware equipment not only provided the suitable scanning and printing solution but also tied into the company’s green policy and stood alongside their values as a recycling company.
- The hardware solution offered a saving on the current solution of 58% and the implementation of our workflow solution saved almost 10 hours per week.
