Copier Systems Achieve Cyber Essential Accreditation

Copier Systems are delighted to announce they have achieved Cyber Essential accreditation for another year. The accreditation, which requires putting a number of IT related procedures in place to ensure prevention of Cyber attack is a key part of the companies IT policy.
Copier Systems support over 1,000 machines on over 500 customer networks, many of which are remotely monitored and have scan facilities making them a key part of the client’s network.
Ryan Eastwood Managing Director added “As part of the HBP Group, a leading IT solutions company, we have always taken security seriously which has formed a key part of our strategy. This has proved instrumental in showcasing the importance we place on security and in turn has been key in Copier Systems winning various new business accounts.
If security is key to your business then it is important to ensure that all suppliers also share your philosophy, which the Cyber Essentials accreditation helps us show.”
About Cyber Essentials
Cyber Essentials aims to help organisations implement basic levels of protection against cyber attack, demonstrating to their customers that they take cyber security seriously.
The five basic controls within Cyber Essentials were chosen because, when properly implemented, they will help to protect against unskilled internet-based attackers using commodity capabilities – which are freely available on the internet.
Organisations that undertake Cyber Essentials are encouraged to re-certify at least once a year and, where appropriate, progress their security.
Since 1 October 2014, Cyber Essentials became a minimum requirement for bidding for some government contracts (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/procurement-policy-note-0914-cyber-essentials-scheme-certification
